Randy Gross serves as MMA’s director of environmental and regulatory policy.

Prior to joining the Association, Mr. Gross was a regulatory analyst for ITC Holdings and was previously employed as deputy legal council and policy advisor for the House Republican Policy Office of the Michigan House of Representatives. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.

Gross received his Juris Doctorate degree from Michigan State University — Detroit College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International and Comparative Politics from Western Michigan University.

All members are welcome to join a committee and share their input.

How is MMA’s legislative policy developed?

The members of the MMA Advisory Committees develop the legislative policy. They are closest to the issue, many dealing directly with the effects of the legislation or regulation. Once the committee develops policy, the government affairs staff works to implement it.
