| Treasury to Update Site with MBT Surcharge Info12/4/2007The Michigan Department of Treasury will be updating its Web site with information regarding the newly passed Michigan Business Tax (MBT) surcharge, which replaced the expanded services tax on 12/1/07. The site also includes information on the options for any company that collected the money from the services tax during its short lifespan. If a company collected the tax, it can either refund the money back to the customer or remit those funds to the state. If a company chooses to remit the money, in most cases it would be due to the state by 1/20/08. |
